Environmentally Friendly Hotel Toiletries
A lot has changed in the last few years. People are now intensely aware of the impact they have on the environment and how critical it is to minimise the effect they have on nature.
Hotels, too, have found that they can engage better with their guests when they follow a similar path. A commitmnent to reducing the footprint the hotel leaves puts them very much on the same page as their guests. The greater the synergy in outlook between Hotel and guest, the better and deeper the relationship they form. Having shared values increases guest loyalty, encourages guest interaction and referral and need not cost any more than less eco-friendly solutions. Indeed, we've proved with many of our customers that a greener solution can not only cost no more but in fact can even cost less!
Below we outline how each of our collections keeps both Hotels and their guests on the friendly side of the environment.
Monogrammed Oxy-Biodegradable Tube Collection
 | This collection already started with an advantage. Tubes use a good deal less material in the fabrication than bottles. Furthermore, because they're squeezy, residue is minimised after use. It's easier to squeeze a tube out than shake a bottle. Think of your ketchup! Still we needed to do more. So we added a special ingredient to the tube called D2W. How it works is a complicated story dismantling the molecular chains of the plastic and reducing its molecular weight to the point that it becomes accessible to bacteria and fungi to assimilate leaving behind only carbon dioxide, water and biomass. Simply put, these tubes should be recycled where possible. It's the best solution and reduces further use of plastic. However, if they do escape the recyling chain when exposed to air they will biodegrade and not end up contributing to plastic waste. |
Micro Element Complex Dispensers and Refills
 | One way to reduce packaging waste is not to dispose of it but to reuse it. There's a side-benefit here, too. Costs are significanlty lower than single use packaging. Firstly the guest uses what they need. This in itself minimises waste of product. Secondly when needing a refill the Hotel operator refills the dispenser bottle from a super cost-effective 5 litre refill canister. This bulk supply of refill content ensures the lowest possible price and also means we're transporting less packaging. Where we differ from all the rest is we supply the dispenser bottle and pump separately. We take the view there's no point trying to reduce waste if you need a new bottle and it comes with a new pump - or vice versa. Get only what you need, replace parts as you need them and only replace the part you need, not the whole shebang! |
